When they go right, we go left. With 40+ combined years in the advertising, marketing and digital industry the female partner team of LeftTurn Strategy have combined collective experiences and expertise into a multi-faceted marketing agency powerhouse.

For the first AWE session of 2020, join the three founding partners of marketing agency, LeftTurn Strategy, for an inspiring presentation and workshop that will help you to challenge your thinking about your business and brand growth – and understand why that’s so important.

We will share our story of launching LeftTurn Strategy and help you to uncover your ultimate brand purpose that thrives both internally and externally.

In the session, we will cover the following:

  • Insights & guidance on developing a strong brand built for scale

  • Critical elements of a brand strategy

  • Importance of a strong story for all audiences

We will then lead small groups through a LeftTurn Strategy process to demonstrate how to craft and implement a differentiated & memorable value proposition for your brand.

About the Speakers:

Ann-Marie Burton

An innovative, entrepreneurial and strategic communicator with client experience, most recently as Senior Account Director with beverage alcohol clients at communications agency PRAXIS.

A driven and creative entrepreneur who founded and led a national parent-focused digital media and integrated event marketing corporation from 2007-2015. momstown Inc was the first Canadian digital community for parents and was an integrated marketing pioneer in the social media and digital space. Launched in Burlington in 2007, the organization expanded into 30 cities across Canada via licensed and corporately owned regional outlets. Ann-Marie led client relationships with Walmart Canada, Fisher-Price, Barbie, Hot Wheels, CBC Kids, Rogers Media, McDonald’s Canada, Scholastic Canada, Tropicana, Quaker and others.

Extensive background in Consumer Packaged Goods with 8 years of cross-functional marketing, trade and business development roles at
Unilever Canada prior to entrepreneurship.

Tanya Garcia

A passionate client and team advocate who believes relationships are at the centre of everything we do. With over 20 years experience working at leading marketing agencies, most recently as Vice President, Client Service at Jan Kelley, Tanya is focused on building her client’s business by delivering solutions that will elevate the customer and brand experience.

Over the years Tanya has worked with brands both locally and globally, developed integrated, multi-channel marketing programs and campaigns for brands such as Petro-Canada Lubricants, Rust-Oleum Consumer Brands Canada (Tremclad, Varathane), Ministry of Finance, Education and Health, GO transit, Metrolinx and Habitat for Humanity, to name a few.

Krista Kay

A passionate and effective brand and marketing communications strategist, Krista can sift through complex issues and provide insight and guidance to clients that help them to transform their organizations. She has honed this ability with over 15 years of agency experience at Jan Kelley and Ogilvy, working on top tier brands including Petro Canada, Sobeys, Apple Auto Glass, IBM, Canadian Blood Services, and GO Transit to name a few.

Additionally, Krista has a strong affinity and skill in partnership and business development – connecting organizations and people through strategic programs that are opportunistic for all, as well as smartly creative. While at momstown.ca, she developed and delivered the largest original partnership for the organization with Walmart Canada.
